Ingredients: Heat some oil in a griddle pan, slice the peppers and courgettes and add them to the pan. Leave to griddle and turn occasionally. In another pan, heat some oil. Break up the veggie mince and heat for 5 – 10 minutes. Meanwhile, when your lasagne sheets are ready, drain and rinse them with cold water and set aside. Combine together the mascarpone and Riccotta cheese in a bowl. And separately, grate the Cheddar. In a large greased casserole dish, lay down the first layer of lasgane sheets. Add a layer of the mascarpone and ricotta mixture and the tomato sauce. Add another layer of lasagne sheets and continue with the vegetables, mince, tomato suace and cheeses as you like. there’s no correct way of doing this, it’s completely your preference! Albert Einstein once said, “Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.” With the general public’s growing concern for personal health and the environment, many people are making the transition to a vegetarian diet. The idea of making such a drastic change to your eating habits may be intimidating, but vegetarian cuisine is not as challenging as you might expect. Replace meat with vegetarian substitutes in some of your favorite recipes. For example, veggie crumbles can be used to replace ground beef or turkey in dishes such as tacos, chili and sloppy joes. Vegetarian meat substitutes are diverse and readily available at most local supermarkets. Beans and mushrooms are great meat substitutes when converting your favorite meat based recipes to vegetarian ones. Make note of the vegetarian foods that you already know how to make. For example pizza, pasta dishes and soups are often vegetarian or easily converted by omitting animal products. Try new things. There are many varieties of fruits, vegetables and whole grains that are both healthy and delicious. Stock up your pantry and refrigerator with vegetarian basics including, tofu, veggie burgers, vegetable broth, beans, whole grains and fruits and vegetables. Reference vegetarian cookbooks for inspiration. Search the web for vegetarian recipes. Many sites feature recipes that have been rated by other cooks, which can help you find recipes that suit your tastes, and avoid common mistakes. Write down your favorite recipes on note cards for quick reference. Many premixed sports recovery drinks provide these, but they can cost a lot and contain artificial additives such as coloring, sweeteners and/or preservatives. Those following vegan diets cannot consume milk or whey products –typical in many recovery drink recipes– so a drink made of only plant-based foods is necessary Things You’ll Need Step #1: Cut and core the pear with the knife, and place it in the blender. You can peel the pear if you prefer, but the blender will liquefy the nutritious pear skin if you leave it on. Step #2: Peel the banana, chop it into 1-inch pieces and add them to the blender. Step #3: Add the hemp protein powder. This powder is a plant-based alternative to regular protein powders. Step #4: Add the ground flax seeds. These seeds are rich in protein, fibe and beneficial Omega-3 fats. You can buy ground flax seeds or you can buy them whole and grind them yourself using a seed grinder, coffee grinder or mortar and pestle. Step #5: Peel the ginger and grate it using a food grater, then add it to the blender. Ginger has natural anti-inflammatory properties that make it an excellent supplement for a post-workout drink. Step #6: Add the water to the blender, then blend all ingredients until you get a smooth, drinkable mixture. This recipe makes about 3 cups, or two 1-1/2 cup servings.
