Vegetarianism encompasses the practice of following plant-based diets (fruits, vegetables, etc. ), with or without the inclusion of dairy products or eggs, and with the exclusion of meat (red meat, poultry, and seafood). Abstention from by-products of animal slaughter, such as animal-derived rennet and gelatin, may also be practiced. Vegetarianism can be adopted for different reasons: In addition to ethical reasons, some reasons for vegetarianism include health, religious, political, environmental, cultural, aesthetic or economic, and there are varieties of the diet: An ovo-vegetarian diet includes eggs but not dairy products, a lacto-vegetarian diet includes dairy products but not eggs, and an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet includes both eggs and dairy products. A vegan diet excludes all animal products, such as eggs, dairy, and honey. Various foods or treats, such as cake, chocolate, chips, gum, marshmallows and gummy candies, often contain unfamiliar animal ingredients, and may especially be a concern for vegetarians due to the likelihood of such additions. Vegetarians may vary in their feelings regarding these ingredients, however. While some vegetarians are unaware of animal-derived rennet’s role in the usual production of cheese and may therefore unknowingly consume the product, for example, others of the diet are not bothered by its consumption. Often, animal-derived products are scrutinized by vegetarians prior to purchase or consumption. Semi-vegetarian diets consist largely of vegetarian foods, but may include fish or poultry, or other meats on an infrequent basis. Those with diets containing fish or poultry may define ‘meat’ only as mammalian flesh and may identify with vegetarianism. A pescetarian diet, for example, includes ‘fish but no meat’. The common use association between such diets and vegetarianism has led vegetarian groups such as the Vegetarian Society to state diets containing these ingredients are not vegetarian, due to fish and birds being animals. The Vegetarian Society, founded in 1847, says that the word “vegetarian” is derived from the Latin word vegetus meaning lively or vigorous. Despite this, the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) and other standard dictionaries state that the word was formed from the term ‘vegetable’ and the suffix ‘-arian’. The OED writes that the word came into general use after the formation of the Vegetarian Society at Ramsgate in 1847, though it offers two examples of usage from 1839 and 1842. The earliest records of (lacto) vegetarianism come from ancient India and ancient Greece in the 6th century BCE. In both instances the diet was closely connected with the idea of nonviolence towards animals (called ahimsa in India) and was promoted by religious groups and philosophers. Following the Christianisation of the Roman Empire in late antiquity, vegetarianism practically disappeared from Europe. Several orders of monks in medieval Europe restricted or banned the consumption of meat for ascetic reasons, but none of them eschewed fish. It re-emerged during the Renaissance, becoming more widespread in the 19th and 20th centuries. In 1847, the first vegetarian society was founded in the United Kingdom; Germany, the Netherlands, and other countries followed. The International Vegetarian Union, a union of the national societies, was founded in 1908. In the Western world, the popularity of vegetarianism grew during the 20th century as a result of nutritional, ethical, and more recently, environmental and economic concerns. There are a number of types of vegetarianism, which exclude or include various foods. Some vegetarians also avoid products that may use animal ingredients not included in their labels or which use animal products in their manufacturing; for example, sugars that are whitened with bone char, cheeses that use animal rennet (enzymes from animal stomach lining), gelatin (derived from the collagen inside animals’ skin, bones and connective tissue), some cane sugar (but no

— 1/2 Pineapple
— 2 Bananas, as ripe as you can stand
— 1 Carrot (unpeeled if organic; peeled if inorganic)
— 2 Young Coconuts (Coconut Water & Coconut Meat)
— Local Fresh Wild Herbs: Lamb’s Quarters & Plantain (do NOT wash the herbs, just brush the obvious specks of dirt off. Our bodies benefit from the microflora and the Vitamin B12 present in whatever dirt is left behind on them)
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Cut pineapple into chunks, but *cut out and set aside* the core of the pineapple, as this will *not* go into your smoothie.

— 3) Add pineapple chunks, bananas, coconut water and the coconut meat from the young coconuts to your Vita-Mix, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://bit.ly/GZsuq or http://bit.ly/3OTXD9
— 4) By hand, remove leaves from all the stems of your wild herbs, add them to your Vitamix, and blend until desired consistency is reached.

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make beautiful and tasty Baked Potato Fans. These are whole baking potatoes that have been peeled and cut into slices (almost to the bottom), then drizzled with butter, sprinkled with salt, topped with a glorious blend of herbs and cheeses and baked in the oven. They make a great accompaniment to almost any meal!
Note: I made just 2 of these potatoes for demonstration purposes, but you can increase or decrease the amounts as needed.
Ingredients:
2 medium baking potatoes
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon of chopped fresh herbs (I used parsley, chives, thyme, and sage. You may use any or all of these. If you used dried herbs, use only 1 teaspoon altogether.)
2 tablespoons finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon finely grated Romano or Parmesan cheese (I use Italian Peccorino Romano cheese.)
cooking oil spray
Wash and peel potatoes. Keep covered with water until ready to use. When ready to assemble recipe, dry the potatoes with a paper towel. Cut potatoes into thin slices, but not all the way through. Use the handle of a spoon to prevent knife from cutting all the way. Put potatoes in a baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil. Fan the potatoes slightly. Sprinkle with salt and drizzle with butter or margarine. Sprinkle with herbs. Bake potatoes at 425 degrees for about 50 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheeses. Bake potatoes for another 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned, cheeses are melted, and potatoes are soft inside. You can check for doneness with a fork. Serve immediately. These are very pretty when served alongside a steak or other entrée. I hope you like these!—Betty

— Enjoy the simplicity of whole, juicy fruits for breakfast! Try to just stick to one variety of fruit for breakfast, if you can. Simple eating is good eating. For the calorie-conscious, the calories in watermelon and other juicy fruits is very, very low…but it is not about cutting calories, it is about eating more of the healthy foods and gaining health! The foods of nature are inherently all low calorie and low fat.
— What is a “Healing Crisis,” or a “Healing Event”? When you eat more cleanly, your body begins to release old toxins that were previously clogged up in your lymphatic system. You may find yourself having to blow your nose or coughing all the time, or on the more extreme end you may have puss come out of the skin, primarily in the locations of your lymph nodes. If you don’t know what is happening, then it can be scary…but now that you know that it is simply part of the process, you can relax! Your body is just getting that stuff out of you as quickly as possible, so give thanks!
— Nature doesn’t isolate. Nature is whole and pure. She knows what she’s doing! She is infinitely intelligent, and already had it all figured out for us! Have faith in her infinite wisdom. Each fruit and vegetable is a perfectly balanced piece of nature. It is NOT about eating 100% raw. It is about eating 100% HEALTHY. Eat the food that grows off the trees, or out of the ground. It is unfortunately today possible to be 100% raw, but totally unhealthy…for example, if you are basing your diet on heavy raw foods such as nuts, pâtés, dehydrated crackers and other dehydrated foods, raw vegan ice creams and other dessert treats.

❤ Romaine-Cilantro-Cabbage-Pepper-Corn & Leek
Summer Salad Recipe + a Orange & Lime Herbal
Low Calorie Salad Dressing Recipe ❤
* I n g r e d i e n t s *
For the SALAD:
— 1 head Romaine Lettuce
— 1 bunch Cilantro
— 1/2 head Cabbage, roughly chopped into large chunks
— 1 Red Bell Pepper, roughly chopped into large chunks
— 2-3 cobs of Corn, raw
— 1 Leek, roughly chopped (save 1/2 for the dressing)
For the DRESSING:
— 1 Orange
— 1 Lime
— 1 Orange Bell Pepper, roughly chopped into large chunks
— 1/2 Leek (leftover from above, chopped)
— 1 bunch fresh Baby Dill
— A few fresh stalks of Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme (remove leaves from stems; discard stems)
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) For the salad, set up your food processor with its chopper blade and then run the romaine lettuce leaves through, followed by the cilantro, roughly chopped chunks of cabbage and bell pepper; transfer everything to a large salad bowl

— 2) Slice the raw corn off of the cobs, and roughly fold the corn and the chopped leek into the other ingredients in your salad bowl.
— 3) For the dressing, use a manual citrus juicer or a citrus hand juicer to squeeze the juice of the orange & of the lime into your Vita-Mix blender, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://BLEND.life-regenerator.com
— 4) Add the roughly chopped orange bell pepper, the remaining chopped leeks, and the fresh baby dill, oregano, rosemary & thyme.
— 5) Blend until desired consistency is reached.
— 6) Drizzle over salad or offer on the side, and enjoy!
* I n s p i r a t i o n *
— It’s really simple, folks…yes, it’s just about fruits and vegetables…and if anyone tells you fruits & veggies are boring, well then you know they haven’t seen the liferegenerator channel, now have they?
— I like to keep my meals simple…and really…just use common sense! But in this day and age apparently common sense isn’t too common. “Fruits & vegetables?! What? Are you out of your mind!?” …but raw fruits and vegetables are simply the best forms of food to feed the cells and tissues of the body…they way that Mother Nature has done it for billions of years.
— Regarding all the salad dressings I do for your guys, many of you probably have never heard of such recipes like this one…but as you’ll see they taste mighty good, and they’ll give you a tasty way to avoid falling back into high fat and/or high sugar store-bought salad dressings, even if they are from a so-called ‘natural’ or ‘healthy’ brand…as many of those are highly addicting, have you noticed? But for the days where you need more fat in your salad dressing, then trying throwing an avocado, or flax oil, or even some nuts in with the other ingredients in your Vitamix & blend.
— As for now, think of eating to live…NOT living in order to eat…and then focus on consuming raw fruits & vegetables because they leave behind the least amount of metabolic wastes in the body, and ‘stick’ to you less. They simply allow you to go about your LIFE in a very unrestricting way…be prepared to have TOO much energy…and be prepared that some of you might get too afraid of all this newfound energy, as you won’t know what to do with it right away. Well, the one thing that you DO NOT want to let happen at that point, is for you to give up! Yes, its quite ironic that many new raw food eaters stop at that point, and they’ll even tell you why with no shame “Yeah, I just had too much energy and nowhere to utilize it!” – UM….WHAT??? Ok, for sure it might take you many days or even weeks to adjust to this extra energy you now have, but why not give yourself a chance in the meantime?
— Aside from all this madness, I still do have one ‘rule’ that I would like each of you to go by: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF & LOVE YOURSELF! And that’s the kind of change in you that will *really* make me happy…along with you losing weight & getting more fit & becoming more AWAKE & becoming more ALIVE, of course…

recipe for vegetable soup!
❤ Garden Fresh ‘n’ Easy Vegetable Soup Recipe ❤
* I n g r e d i e n t s *
…..All quantities in this recipe are up to you! Use your intuition. 
— 1 Young Coconut (coconut water)
— Tomatoes, roughly chopped
— Carrots, roughly chopped (fresh from the garden if possible…including the green carrot tops!)
— Peas, shelled
— Fresh Wild Lamb’s Quarters Herbs, with leaves torn off of stems
— Bok Choy Flowers (if you have your garden, you can get these)
— 1 Lime
— Broccoli Florets
— Lettuce
— Red Chard, with leaves torn off of stems
— Kale, with leaves torn off of stems
— Collard Greens, with leaves torn off of stems
— Yellow Zucchini (or green, if yellow is not available), chopped into rounds
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Open the young coconut—refer to this video if you need help: http://bit.ly/u9Q4j —and pour its water into your Vita-Mix, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://BLEND.life-regenerator.com
— 2) Add chopped tomatoes & carrots, along with the green carrot tops if you were lucky enough to get your carrots fresh from your garden, followed by the shelled peas, the leaves of the wild lambs quarters and the bok choy flowers, if you were able to get some from your garden.
— 3) Using a manual citrus juicer, a citrus hand juicer, or just your hands, squeeze the juice of one lime over the top. As your blender probably has no more room to add the rest of your ingredients, lightly blend for a few seconds to make some room on top for the rest.
— 4) Once you’ve made some room, add the broccoli florets, followed by all your leafy greens: lettuce, chard, kale & collard greens (make sure that you first tore of all the leaves from the thick stems…you can either add the stems to your compost, run them through your garbage disposal, or throw them away)
— 5) Blend everything up in your Vita-Mix, but not too much, as you’ll want to leave some texture behind. Then, transfer the soup to individual soup bowls.
— 6) Take the chopped zucchini rounds and place around the inside of all the soup bowls and/or you can serve them on the side.
— 7) Serve…and enjoy!
