In this episode of the Running Raw Project: While attending the Woodstock Fruit Festival (http://woodstockfruitfestival.com) Tim takes a group of participants on a hike up Giant Mountain in New York’s Adirondack park. Many great conversations took place, including this one with Raw Vegan pioneer and ultrarunner Grant Campbell from Australia. Tim and Grant talk about the importance of facing your emotions rather than fighting them. The result of fighting your challenging emotions can often lead to strict behavior, self punishment and self loathing. As Grant says, ‘you can either be in a state of protection or a state of growth. But you can’t do both at the same time.’

For those of you moving towards a dietary change, whether it be raw vegan, simply vegan, vegetarian, 80/10/10 or other variant, it’s important to face the emotions that are showing up rather than forcing yourself through those feelings.

In this episode of the Running Raw Project: Tim sits down with Dan ‘The Life Regenerator’ McDonald at the Woodstock Fruit Festival and has a very enlightening chat about raw, vegan low fat and 80/10/10 diets.

Dan talks about flexibility in diet and life and uses the analogy of a palm tree in a storm to describe how he bounces back after challenging situations and dietary slip ups.

Tim and Dan agree that a hard line, dogmatic approach to diet is not the best way to go. Even though they both eat a raw vegan diet, they try to avoid using those labels in their own lives as it causes stress.

While there are many judgmental factions of the raw vegan movement, Dan asks people not to judge the dietary choices of others because we don’t know how far they’ve already come on their journey.

BODY FAT LEVELS AFTER 11 YEARS UNLIMITED CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE.

People ask me what the best diet and lifestyle is for dramatic weight loss transformations. Its DEFINITELY high carb low fat vegan. I eat up to 70 bananas a day. I dont use any drugs or stimulants both legal and illegal. Don’t need too cos I get enough sleep, eat enough carbs and stay hydrated and train smarter vs harder. Just because I have single digit body fat and 6 pack abs doesnt mean Im healthy though. Check out my blood test video for more internal conditioning evidence.

High carb low fat fruit based lifestyles work wonders for long term weight loss transformations. Ive NEVER seen a fat fruit or rice muncher EVER. People sneak in fat and wonder why they get fat. Im talking FAT FAT not skinny fat cos someone doesnt move their body and they wonder why they dont have a tight stomach.

weight loss transformation will happen when you do the right things. High carb, low fat, early nights, consistent hydration etc. Participate in your fav activities to build the toned body that you want. Its easy to lose weight but to build a toned body you MUST MOVE IT! :)

This recipe is excellent for those who want to get a lot of food made in a little bit of time. In about 10 minutes, you can have healthy food that lasts you a few days. That is, unless you live with people who are going to help themselves to your delicious chili! In which case, don’t expect it to last too long. :)

Ingredients:

2lbs of ground or “stew” lean meat (beef, chicken, turkey, bison, etc.)
1 can of black beans
1 can of kidney beans
½ cup of organic brown rice
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1-2 cups water (I would recommend one although we used two)
2-4 cups V8 or similar vegetable juice (In the video we used 3.5)

Spices:

Chili Powder 2 tablespoons — up to you how much
1 tablespoon Pre-minced garlic or pre-peeled garlic

1 tsp of each:
Oregano
Basil
Sage
Thyme

or 1-2 tablespoons of

Italian Seasoning Mix
Chili Seasoning Mix
