They want me to eat meat; I can’t
I will only eat plants
I will never eat meat again
That’s why I am a vegan

I know you have an attitude
I’m not in the mood to hear some dude
Tell ME about MY food
I don’t mean to be rude
But it’s making the Earth screwed
Up; meat takes too much
When will it be enough?
One pound of meat needs sixteen pounds of grain
We lose energy as you go up the food chain
Nothing is gained
Cattle eat enough grain
To feed 8.7 billion people
That’s evil
And insane
Use your brain
We can eat the crops they eat
Instead of wasting 70% of it on meat
80% of all farmland is for meat, eggs, and dairy
That is so unnecessary
Half the United States’ land
Is used to meet meat demand
Seven football fields per minute
Is cleared for farm animals on the planet
There is so much waste
Just for that carnivorous taste
I won’t ignore
When I go to the store
They have to farm more
For carnivores
280 million acres in the US is farmed
That causes a lot of harm
Soil erosion, forest cleared, pesticide
Manure runoff making marine life die
In a year, vegans use one less acre
That leaves more for nature

No meat, eggs, or dairy
All of that is unnecessary
It hurts Earth and us when we eat
All of this unhealthy meat
I’m just telling you the facts
I have that though- the Veggie Rap
Let’s just give up meat; we can
The world would be better if we were all vegans
And never eat meat again

The crops deplete the soil
And livestock uses a third of the oil
5,000 gallons of water for one pound of meat
Only 25 gallons for a pound of wheat
Per day, vegans only need 300 gallons of water
The animals also suffer before they are slaughtered
And make the Earth hotter
A third of greenhouse gas emitted in the atmosphere
The warming of which causes much to fear
Another inconvenient truth
Earth would be cooler if people just ate veggies and fruits
The chickens and the planet are fried
Do not harm- the rule I live by
From the farm to me my food is tied
It makes pollution fill the water and sky
Meat causes everything to die
Along with changing the climate
These animals make a lot of
89,000 pounds per second of it
And fish die from it
There is a big dead zone
From it in the Gulf Mexico
It flows to the Mississippi, and that’s where it goes
Why are you eating all that fish?
Their populations are greatly diminished
90% of big fish populations are finished
You want everything but careful what you wish
By 2048, all marine populations could be finished
Vegans save 100 animals every year
And stops an acre of trees that meat would make disappear

I’m a vegan and this is why
For me to live, others don’t need to die

Cuz Ronald McDonald brainwashed us when we were kids
