Sprout Living Epic Protein Powder: 01/0.75LB Jar of Vanilla Lucuma
Product DescriptionEpic Protein is a line of raw, vegan organic, and gluten-free protein powders. The base for our Epic Protein is a sprouted and bio-fermented, whole grain organic brown rice. We are confident that our unique brown rice is the best in the world in terms of quality, taste, and effectiveness. Our brown rice goes through a special patent pending process. We really don’t even like to use the word process, because in reality its more like a technique. So anyway, this technique uses enzymes to concentrate the protein to over 80% and decrease the carbohydrates.

What vitamins should I take if I’m going to become vegan?

Sunday, November 18th, 2012

I’m thinking about going vegan for the new year, and I am wondering what vitamins I will need to take in order to remain healthy? I’m six feet tall and I try to work out almost daily. I go to school during the day. I plan on getting a vegan protein powder for following my workouts but I was wondering what other vitamins I’m going to be deprived of? My plan is to eat a lot of fruit and soy milk.

All answers appreciated!

None. Please do not listen to the propaganda saying that vegans need to take supplements. All of your nutritional needs can be very easily met from a healthy diet.

How can I hide the taste of this awful tasting protein powder?

Saturday, November 17th, 2012

Im just starting to workout/diet, I find it harder to consume this protein powder than exercising lol.

Anyone got a good, but simple smoothie recipe or something?
(im also looking to mix in colustrum, that stuff taste like rotten milk poweder)

I use vanilla Sun Warrior raw vegan protein powder

You can make smoothies with fruits like mango, kiwi, strawberry and blueberries that would hide the taste of other ingredients you do not care for.

Making a smoothie out of 1 cup of liquid and 1 1/2 of fruits plus a tablespoon of honey would completely camouflage the taste of the protein powder.

Here’s a smoothie recipe I made a few days ago, you could add your protein powder to this smoothie recipe.

Ingredients:
1 Cup Yoli Truth Citrus Blast (5 calories, 100% natural)
1 Cup Mango (Frozen and chopped)
1 Kiwi (Peeled and chopped)
1/2 Cup of Pineapple chunks
1 Small container of plain Yogurt
1 Tbsp Honey

Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth, usually about 30 seconds to a minute depending on blender.

This tastes great and you can have it any time.

how long should it take to correct a protein deficiency?

Friday, November 16th, 2012

or at least to see signs of improvement on a blood test? my girlfriend is severely protein deficient, and is planning on starting on vegan protein powder so that she gets the correct amount of protein per day. how long should it take before a blood test shows signs of improvement? hours? days? weeks? months? any idea would be appreciated. thanks.

Days.
Food passage through an adult human takes about a day. So expect at least one to two days until the blood test shows improvement.

Shit People Say to Raw Vegans

Saturday, September 8th, 2012

Thanks Kevin Getchell my father-in-law for being a good sport and starring in this video! “Shit People Say to Raw Vegans”. Where do you get your protein? ….Fruit makes you fat! Bananas can kill you! And where do you get your protein?…

My name is Gabe Smith and my wife is Laurie Getchell, we are both raw vegan and we eat a mostly fruit diet inspired by the book “The 80 10 10″ by Dr. Douglas N Graham. We are on a journey to improve our health and have given up the animal products long ago.

When people find out that Laurie and I eat up to 30 bananas a day they often instantly become nutritional experts and confront us with their vegan protein concerns. Most people know very little about the protein requirements for humans. Here are some references for optimal health…

how many grams of protein do I need per day? and what are the best sources of VEGAN protein?

Sunday, September 2nd, 2012

i’m 19 years old, female, 5’2”, 130 pounds, and I’m a vegan. so…two questions: 1. how many grams of protein do I need per day? (I do about 1-1.5 hours of cardio, and 20 minutes of weight training per day). and 2. what are the best sources of VEGAN protein? (I’m trying to lose another 10-15 pounds or so, so I’m looking for some low-cal but high protein foods)

thank you!

It is more or less what ever you wish like beans breads and pulses.
